Following our manifesto, we have produced a souvenir stall for our exhibition. In keeping with our research, our work is varied in theme and materials. We have each produced souvenirs commemorating Belle Vue and we plan to attach ‘price tags’ to our work. These will not feature monetary prices but will comment on the work itself. For example, the price might be ‘a good day out’; this is so that the viewers understand the importance of memories and experiences, as well as material value. The exhibition itself will be arranged to represent a stall, so that the viewer can move around easily and study the items individually. We will also use plinths to highlight specific pieces.
We have decided our souvenir stall will be titled: ‘Belle Vue’s Souvenir Emporium’ because we feel this explains our intentions of creating souvenirs and the word emporium represents the showmanship of Belle Vue.
